for the past few weeks, at least since i got the bike, i've been waking up early on sundays, and going out cruising and adventuring the bay area. it gives me a chance to practice, and prepare me for whatever the road will throw at me.

my first somewhat long trip with with a group of local riders, the sunday snellbucks to pie ride, which was not only my first ride with a group of any kind, but also my first on the route we took. it was an interesting experience, and a fun sunday.

this sunday (yesterday, 08.17.08) after a bit of planning, i grabbed my friend dan for a epic sunday journey. 170+ miles later, butt sore from the stock seat...

epic

best describes it. we had a bit of fog, cold, extreme sun (when we go back), saw some cliffs, twisty one way roads, downtown santa cruz, highway 1, two accidents (hope everyone was okay) and waved to hundreds of other bikers. (most of whom waved back) we climbed and descended 4 different sets of hills, and went through two-ish tanks of gas. now, all that's left...

when to do it again?
