i haven't left the house for anything in over two days. i've been holed up in my apartment, sitting in front of my computer. not that it was nasty out or anything. actually, it's been nicer than it has been since i got here, but i didn't experience it.

i sat inside, unmotovated to go outside, unmotovated to go to work, so i worked from home. since my home office is on the east coast, working from home is about the same as being in the office, except i don't have all the distractions that i have in the office.

with all this time at home, you'd expect that i'd get stuff done. maybe i'd have taken the time to finish duodenum. or maybe dreamlog. no. maybe i'd post the 50 or so pictures that are sitting in the april01 directory on foto. nope.

nothing accomplished. 'tis the story of my life lately. either something goes horribly wrong, or i get nothing done. the big project that i was supposed to be working on this week to get finished last friday had two huge speedbumps. first, i couldn't configure the server correctly. odbc wouldn't compile into apache. then, the odbc server that i needed to connect to mysteriously was shut off. so i was at a standstill.

i get calls every few hours from all the companies that i owe huge amouts of money to. the server might not be here in a few days, if i don't pay the bill. the original intention was that i'd host people, and their hosting fees would pay for the colocation. but no-one has come through to pay, and i'm too nice to get on their asses to get them to pay. my car still has no insurance, because i'm flat broke. i keep trying to figure out how to get insurance, but when i sit down to finally pay for the policy, my account is suddenly at zero.

california is nice, but i really can't afford it.
